Hercules Towers
Last week the inauguration of the Torres de Hercules Business Centre took place. This is Andalucías tallest office blocks and is located in Los Barrios. This is the strange looking building you see when visiting Carrefours heading towards Algeciras. It has 20 floors including a restaurant on the 19th and a glass covered bridge on every floor to connect the two buildings. At this time they are saying 63% of the offices are sold, that is a good start, hopefully more jobs in the area.

Sad Accident to British Lady
This really hit me as such a sad freak accident and I know we all send our condolences to her family.
A British lady tripped in a Bar in Nerja cutting herself on a glass, Friends called an ambulance which arrived quickly and she was rushed to hospital but sadly due to blood loss died before reaching Malaga Hospital.
She had not been drinking heavily and had no Health problems, this was just a freak accident with devastating consequences. You never believe these thing happen but unfortunately these accidents do happen and sadly she left a 14 year old son.

Have you Registered your Spanish Mobile Phones
THOUSANDS of expat mobile phone users could have been cut off by their service provider if they own a non-registered pay-as-you-go phone.
From November 9, 2007, people who purchased pre-paid mobile phones have been obliged to provide proof of identity, but for those who purchased phones before this date, a two-year period of grace was granted, this ran out on November 9.
It is estimated that more than 15 million pay-as-you-go phones were still unregistered in Spain.

Road Accidents
Do you know when the most accidents happen and why?
Well, Director General of Traffic, Pere Navarro has said that there is a reduction in road accidents at the Weekends. However, accidents mainly occur during the week, when people are travelling to and from work this is put down to - Tiredness, Traffic Jams, of course Impatience and lastly Stress. I think if I had an accident I would put it down to all of these!!

Lastly a couple of things I read that did bring a smile to my face

Ronaldo was Injured by Black Magic
Shortly before Real Madrid suffered their first loss of the season, their new signing Ronaldo could not play due to an injury. Then rumours began about a self-proclaimed sorcerer casting a spell on the player at the request of a very famous and rich foreign woman whose advances were rejected by Ronaldo. It is said that he received around 15,000 euros to cast the black magic spell but would however charge much more to ruin his career. It was rumoured that a certain Paris Hilton was rejected by Ronaldo.

Dangerous Smuggler
The suspicious behaviour of a woman in a wheelchair at Madrids Barajas airport, led to a police search which revealed the lady was Carrying 4 kilos of cocaine.
Nothing different about this you are thinking only that the lady in the story is 92 years old, so how can you tell if she is acting suspicious in a wheelchair I asked myself.

This Just has to be America
I just had to finish on this one
This American man gets out of bed naked and decides to make a cup of coffee at 5.30 in the morning. Off he goes to his kitchen, light on, kettle on, no he has not pulled the curtains, lady and child outside are now looking at one naked man in his own kitchen and called the police.
The outcome man facing indecent exposure charges and could be jailed for seven years, Moral of this story buy a pair of pjs.
Photo
I normally try to find a photo to put on the bottom but am really worried that if I put the photo of the man in his kitchen I myself will end up in trouble, so better not, just leave it to your imagination.
Thats it till next month.
